spring tour update #2 – photo update!

March 15, 2011

hey everyone!

Greetings from New Orleans! It is a real pleasant morning, slight breeze, sunny, loving it! We had a real fun day and night exploring the city yesterday…and today we do a 9 hour drive to Austin TX for the South By Southwest music festival! We’ll be in Austin for the whole week, it is certainly bound to be an adventure.

To back track a bit, last time I wrote I was just entering into Florida. I basically spent a week traveling all over Florida for shows and “fun in the sun” as they say. You’ll notice in the paragraph above, I refer to “We” – that is cause I picked up my boyyy Ramon (aka Road Monkey) a week ago in Orlando, and he has been with me since…and people: we are having a great time!

It was good to travel all over Florida, get a vibe for the different cities…find the places I’d like to return to and other places that may not be worth coming back to. Overall though, definitely good times and I made some new friends/fans along the way – can’t complain!

Here are lotsa photos from Ramon’s fancy iPhone camera:

New Orleans!

live jazz in New Orleans!

…hearing that live jazz last night really got us in the mood to head to Austin asap and dive head first into the insanity of SXSW. We plan to hit up some New Orleans diner breakfast and hit the road. A Justin Townes Earle lyric comes to mind “…that long road to Texas lie ahead Lord Lord, that long road to Texas lie ahead…”

Here we go! Thanks for the support!

❤ Liam
